About Business Additions

Now in our eigth year of trading independently as Business Additions Ltd, we are a husband, wife and daughter-in-law team based in the centre of Farnham in Surrey, UK. Pauline and Kevin Connolly are Company Directors and Claire Connolly is a qualified Accounts Technician (Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians).

Pauline has over 25 years of practical business, administrative and accountancy experience from a range of commercial backgrounds, Kevin has over 25 years of business and project management experience and Claire has her first year of academic training and a number of practical client contracts under her belt.

Magda, our Accounts Assistant and Heidi, our Admin Assistant joined the team in 2008 and provide valuable support services to our clients.

What we do

As a small family business ourselves we specialise in providing a wide range of business, administration and accountancy services to small to medium sized businesses. Our clients range from sole traders with a small turnover to multi-companies with up to £10 million turnover, each having unique business solutions to meet their requirements.

  • To save money on the cost of running an accounts department in-house you can outsource the entire operation to us. That will save you all the costs like having to buy computers, printers, and consumables, recruit staff, pay Employers National Insurance, pay holiday or sick pay, and so on, and yet have cover from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and only pay for the time you need us!

What we charge

Despite over 25 years of practical accounting experience we're not professionally accredited accountants so we don't charge the high fees which accountants can command to do the same kind of work. Instead, we can undertake most ongoing financial and administrative processes for organisations which accountants then sign off formally at the end of the tax year. This means you pay less overall for vital business services.

Our hourly rate depends upon the nature of the work being undertaken but normally ranges from £10 - £25 per hour. More routine administrative tasks levy lower fees and more complex business and financial processes command higher fees. Our pricing structure is always based on knowing what's involved and what our clients need.
